Dr. Bonilla’s dental career began in 1992 when he graduated as a dentist. In 1997 he completed a two-year postgraduate training program in Advanced General Dentistry at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY. In 2000, Dr. Bonilla completed a three-year Advanced Prosthodontic Program combined with a Master of Science Degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. During his time at Ohio State, he did research on all-ceramic restorations. In addition to his schooling, Dr. Bonilla strives to learn new skills and techniques to better serve his patients, which includes upwards of 50 hours of continuing education every year. It is no secret why Dr. Bonilla is one of the leading Annandale Prosthodontists.
Family Life
Dr. Bonilla and Carol, his wife, are the proud parents of two beautiful children. Some of the families hobbies include: traveling, scouting, playing basketball, running cross-country, listening to music, and spending time together. Both Dr. Bonilla and his wife are very involved at their children’s school and activities, and the two coordinated the St. Thomas More Cathedral School International Festival for nearly a decade. In his free time, Dr. Bonilla is an avid photographer; a former assistant troop leader for Scout Troop 648 in Arlington, VA; a Knight of Columbus at the STM Cathedral Council; and a former volunteer coach at the Arlington Soccer Association and the STM Catholic Youth Basketball Organization.
